A Poem on Chennai Floods

No more rains

Please God stop this rain
All people are suffering in grief and pain
No more punishment we can sustain
With neck deep water, streets are flooded with torrential rain

Everyone living in the dark world here
without electricity, food and water
even no connection with near and dears

Oh God we want that sunshine back
we promise we will not complain after that
how harsh the sun may be
but its better than this calamity

I appeal to all to pray to The Almighty
May He listen to our plea
and give back our sunlight and those days where we used to be happy

Now no more clouds and no more rain
We want the earlier days back again....!
